I am a fully qualified therapeutic counsellor and a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Registered Member. My practice room is in East Oxford, within easy reach of Oxford city centre. I work with individuals from all walks of life on a short term or longer term open-ended basis; face to face and on-line. I am committed to providing counselling in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment.
You may be seeking counselling for current issues, past experiences, to change old patterns or you may not know why you are experiencing certain thoughts and feelings that are impeding on your life. Counselling gives you space to share and explore your experiences, to increase awareness and work towards change or to reconcile with what you cannot change.
"Resilience isn't about toughing it out, being stoic or going it alone. In fact, being able to reach out to others for support is a key component of being resilient" (Mayo Clinic)
Counselling is an opportunity for you to reach out and invest in yourself.
I offer counselling for a range of issues including :
- Life crisis and change
- Relationship issues
- Anxiety, Stress and Depression
- Loss and bereavement
- Low self-esteem
- Identity and culture
- Gender diversity
- Work related issues
- Childhood experiences
- Domestic abuse
- Physical Health
- Loneliness and isolation
- A sense of unease with life
Please be aware the areas identified above is not an exhaustive list; you may have other issues, your own definition of your experiences or struggle to put into words what's happening for you.
